My name is Carolina Cortés Loudet and I'm the founder of Education Translations. I'm a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina where I earned a M.A. in Film Direction. After working for many years in the film industry in Argentina and Mexico, I moved to United States in 2002. Upon arrival and due to the vast experience gained in the film industry as an interpreter and translator for actors, producers, and directors I was offered to work as an independent full-time translator for the California Portable Assisted Study Sequence (PASS Program). During this 12-year collaboration I also translated for the San Francisco and Oakland Unified School Districts, San Mateo County Behavioral Health Department and private clients. As a Spanish reader, I have frequently come across poorly translated material, which lacks the care and quality that should be provided to native Spanish speakers. On a personal level, I care about the translation I provide and the social impact it may have.

I'm a member of the Northern California Translators Association (NCTA), Proz.com and of the American Translators Association (ATA) through which I continue my education in the translation field.
